Meet Our Founder Scott

After high school, Scott received an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. He earned a double-Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Air Force Academy and later earned a Master’s degree in Civil and Construction Engineering from Iowa State University. While in the military, Scott served at the Pentagon during 9/11, led a recovery team during the anthrax attacks on Capitol Hill in 2001, and later taught Environmental Engineering and GIS/mapping to cadets at the U.S. Air Force Academy. After working with GPS equipment and mapping software while in the Air Force, Scott learned how to couple GPS and GIS technology with soil fertility mapping on his family farm. His expertise as an environmental engineer provided the necessary background in chemistry and soil sciences to understand how to apply his skills to improve agricultural production on his own farm and for his client’s farms. All of the precision agriculture services he provides to clients have proven successful on his own land.
